Accident Investigation in the Workplace
Health & Safety Management requires the ability to identify the core areas of accident prevention and how accidents can be investigated and prevented from happening again.
This 1-day course focuses on the procedures and techniques to help identify the immediate cause, underlying cause, and root cause of an accident, incident or near miss in the workplace. This course will also prepare you to create clear and concise formal reports and make logical cost effective proposals to prevent accidents happening again, thus cutting out costs to your business financially, morally, and ensure legal compliance as set by the HSE. This will also assist with any HSE investigation, be compliant with any workplace incident, RIDDOR, and an understanding of basic fire investigation techniques and incident reporting.
We also train you to implement formal procedures and techniques that will assist you to create clear and concise report to prevent repetition and possible further investigations by the HSE with reference to Fees For Intervention (FFI) by the HSE. On completion of the course and assessment you will be awarded a Nationally recognised certificate of competence. This course is aimed at all H&S professionals, Managers, Responsible persons, Union reps, supervisors, etc.
Assessment: Multi choice question paper, written report on case study.
